Options Plus Program

Customized Day Programming

TARC’s customized community engagement day program, Options Plus, provides people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities access to meaningful community activities and services that enhance the lives of each individual every day.  Individuals learn through enriching activities, including community outings, community connections with partners, volunteerism, art classes, fun leisure activities, exercise, and life skills classes. Options Plus offers opportunities for growth and enhanced quality of life, with a focus on individual choices.

Individualized Care

After individuals are evaluated and assessed for developmental needs, TARC’s staff provides an individualized plan to help maintain and improve daily living, communication, personal safety, socialization, and wellness.  These individualized plans assist our individuals’ development and help create a meaningful life. In addition to an individualized plan, our staff provides each individual with a range of activities that incorporate skills learned at TARC and apply them in practical community settings.

Volunteer Opportunities

Individuals in our Options Plus Community Day program have regular, ongoing volunteer opportunities through the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter and participate in food donation pick-up services for the Good Samaritan Food Bank.
