Personal Care Attendant (PCA)
Assists clients with developmental disabilities in clients home by providing responsible care and services in accordance with the clients Plan of Care. These services will meet the needs of those clients whose disabilities preclude the acquisition of certain independent living skills related to the activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, food preparation and storage.
Relating to each client with dignity and respect while enabling them to enjoy a higher quality of life. Maintaining accurate daily records of client services and personal time sheets. Communicating to supervisors specific needs and/or changes in clients’ condition. Assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing and grooming. Performing or assisting in the performance of tasks related to maintaining a safe, healthy and stable living environment such as: Light cleaning tasks in areas of the home used by the client. Shopping for such items as health and hygienic products, clothing and groceries. Performing activities of daily living inside and outside the home which require attendant care.Assisting with or performing laundry chores for the client.
