Minimum Job Requirements:

Residential Floater

Responsibilities

Provides direct care to clients of TARC in the Residential Services program.  Assists in training, guiding, supervising and caring for clients wherever assigned. 

 

Characteristics of Work

This is a full-time 260 day position.  Much of the duties are assigned as a substitute for regularly scheduled positions.  Work schedules are not specific and may fall on any day of the week, Monday-Sunday, as well as holidays.  This position may be called on to work on short notice or scheduled hours may be changed to meet the direct care needs of clients.

 

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assists in supervising, teaching, training and caring for clients in the group homes, respite, SIL, or PCA programs according to their ISP objectives or Plan of Care.  This may include providing any hands-on services which may be required. Complies with all TARC policies as well as all State and Federal regulations for documentation and active treatment.

 


DSW/ Direct Support Worker/ Division 1

Responsibilities

This work involves the teaching, training, guiding and supervision of adult clients in and wherever else designated.  Work is performed within the established rules and regulations set forth by Federal, State and Local governmental bodies as well as TARC; and is reviewed through periodic conferences with the department Director, supervisor, and/or Adult Service Manager.

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide supervision, training and direct care as requested and/or needed to individuals assigned.  This may include working with a client, one-on-one , Organize, formulate and implement job training to address daily living, social interactions, communications, health/hygiene, safety, team work, vocational skills and provide hands-on training to individuals. Conducts, develops and participates in assessment procedures for determining individual needs. Provides input to QMRP for individual service plans (ISP) for clients within the program. Must attend ISP meetings as required by regulations. Participate in the staffing of clients after the evaluation has been completed, as necessary. Maintain a realistic work environment with special emphasis on proper safety procedures and work site employer's policies in the completion of client's duties.


Part Time Houma Grown Farmer's Market Helper

Responsibilities

Assist with Houma Grown Farmer's Market activities: engaging in propagating, cultivating, and harvesting such as trees, shrubs, flowering plants, and vegetables

Essential Duties

Keep management informed about progress of plant growing activities, planting and picking schedules. Obtains authorization for changes in fertilizer, herbicide, and pesticide application techniques and formulas. Observes plants and flowers in greenhouses, pots, cold frames, and fields to ascertain condition such as leaf texture and bloom size.

Assist with changes in temperature levels, chemical use, grafting perform and cultivation procedures to ensure conformance with quality control standards.

 


Child Care Worker/ Infant Room/ Sunshine Express

Responsibilities

Organizes and leads activities of prekindergarten children in nursery schools or in playrooms operated for patrons of theaters, department stores, hotels, and similar organizations

 

Essential Duties

4.  serve food or beverages

5.  lead recreational activities

6.  instruct participants in recreational activities

 


Food Tech/ Division 2

 

Responsibilities

Works all food service areas which involves floating between the cafeteria, TARC Restaurant kitchen and the wholesale food production departments by performing the following duties:

 

Essential Duties

 

Follow the Food and Drug Administration guidelines for manufacturing foods for wholesale purchase.

 

Stock using proper storage procedures, like items together, labels facing front, dating when necessary.

 

Keep area clean and sanitize work surfaces; mops floors according to procedures; takes out trash as necessary.  Performs any other cleaning duties as assigned.

 

Follow food service and/or production sheets demonstrating accuracy in weighing, measuring, and portioning food.
